A family favorite for generations. This is truly a comfort food. Creamy white sauce with chopped boiled eggs served on toast.
Creamed Eggs on Toast
Ingredients
- 6 T butter
- 6 T flour
- Garlic to taste (optional)
- Milk
- Salt and Pepper
- 4-6 diced hardboiled eggs
Instructions
- Melt butter in saucepan. Add garlic, if using and flour.
- Gradually mix in milk to make a medium thick roux.
- Add salt and pepper to taste then stir in egg pieces.
- Serve over toast.
Notes
Optional: Garnish with chives or green onions
