Creamed Eggs on Toast

cEYCwFEv13c2935373539383ehL8TaGq_1278992122A family favorite for generations. This is truly a comfort food. Creamy white sauce with chopped boiled eggs served on toast.

Creamed Eggs on Toast

Ingredients
  • 6 T butter
  • 6 T flour
  • Garlic to taste (optional)
  • Milk
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 4-6 diced hardboiled eggs
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in saucepan. Add garlic, if using and flour.
  2. Gradually mix in milk to make a medium thick roux.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste then stir in egg pieces.
  4. Serve over toast.
Notes
Optional: Garnish with chives or green onions
